Plans, usage, and limits
Sai's pricing tiers, what the free plan includes, how computer time is measured and billed, what happens when you reach a limit, and how to keep recurring automation predictable.
Which Sai plan is right for you?
Sai offers tiered plans for individual experimentation, regular personal automation, collaborative teams, and custom enterprise deployments.
| Plan | Price | Best for | Core features | Computer time |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | Individuals exploring autonomous agent workflows | Basic cloud computer, core skills, interactive chat, standard execution speed | Daily allotment of free computer time, reset every 24 hours |
| Pro | $50 / month | Professionals and power users running daily routines | Priority execution, persistent background automation, advanced models, full integration suite | Expanded monthly allowance with top-up options |
| Team | $500 / month | Growing teams and operational groups | Multi-seat workspace, shared routine library, team-wide approval queues, concurrent execution | High-capacity shared pool with central management |
| Enterprise | Custom | Organizations that need scale, compliance and dedicated infrastructure | SSO, Zero Data Retention agreements, custom SLAs, private networking or on-premises models | Dedicated VM pools and custom compute quotas |
What is included in the free plan?
The Free plan provides a fully functional autonomous computer environment and does not require a credit card.
Core inclusions
- One cloud computer. Every free account receives a personal cloud computer running in Sai's infrastructure. No local installation or hardware reservation is required.
- Full web and desktop automation. Sai can open browsers, navigate pages, read interfaces, fill forms, and operate applications in its environment.
- Core skills and integrations. Built-in skills for file parsing, web research and document creation, plus basic application connectors.
- Human-in-the-loop controls. Sai pauses and asks for explicit confirmation before irreversible actions such as sending messages, changing sensitive data or processing transactions.
Plan boundaries
- Cloud computers park automatically when idle to conserve shared capacity.
- Background routines pause when the daily compute limit is used up, until the daily reset.
- Running several virtual machines at once is reserved for paid plans.
What is computer time?
Computer time is the main usage measure in Sai. It is the time Sai holds exclusive control of a virtual computer to carry out a task, and it is billed only while that machine is in use.
What counts as computer time
- Launching and navigating applications.
- Scrolling, observing the screen, and performing DOM or GUI actions.
- Running shell commands or scripts, and generating files on the machine's disk.
- Executing browser automation steps.
What does not count
- Conversation. Chat turns, planning and knowledge retrieval that need no desktop or browser action.
- Waiting for your approval. When Sai pauses at an approval checkpoint, the machine stops and computer time stops with it.
- Time between scheduled runs. The 24 hours between two daily runs of a routine use no compute.
What happens when you run out of computer time?
When an account uses up its allowance, tasks move into a holding state instead of failing.
On the Free plan
- Running tasks pause and save their checkpoints and state.
- Scheduled routines stay registered but do not fire until compute resets.
- The allowance resets every 24 hours. Paused routines can then be resumed by hand, or run at their next scheduled time.
On paid plans
- Depending on account settings, paid accounts either draw on pay-as-you-go overage or pause until you approve more usage.
- You can buy additional compute or upgrade from the billing console to resume paused work without waiting for the monthly reset.
How to keep recurring automation predictable
These practices keep routines efficient and stop them wasting computer time.
Structure recurring tasks explicitly
- State the repeat rule. Say whether a routine should append new rows, overwrite existing data, or skip records it has already handled.
- Bound the range. Ask Sai to check “the last 2 days of email”, not “all historical inbox threads”.
Use replay for stable interfaces
- Turn on Code-Replay once a multi-step routine is validated. Replaying a verified procedure skips repeated visual reasoning, which lowers computer time and cost per run.
- Pin the skills a routine needs so each run loads exactly those, instead of broader model routing.
Keep critical routines funded
- For daily briefings or pipeline updates, keep enough monthly allowance or an auto top-up threshold so runs are not interrupted.
- Review the approval queue regularly, so tasks waiting on you do not hold up work that depends on them.
Frequently asked questions
Is Sai free to use?
Yes. The Free plan costs $0, needs no credit card, and includes one cloud computer with a daily allotment of computer time that resets every 24 hours.
What is computer time in Sai?
Computer time is the time Sai holds exclusive control of a virtual computer to carry out a task, such as opening apps, reading the screen, clicking, typing or running scripts. Chat and planning do not count.
Does waiting for my approval use computer time?
No. When Sai pauses for an approval, the machine stops and computer time stops until you respond.
Do routines use computer time between runs?
No. Only the run itself uses computer time. The time between scheduled runs is free.
Can I run several computers at once on the free plan?
No. Running several virtual machines in parallel is available on paid plans.
What happens to my tasks when I hit the limit?
Running tasks pause and keep their state, and scheduled routines wait. On the Free plan they can continue after the daily reset; on paid plans you can top up to continue right away.
